What’s Our Deal

So What? Studios is a 16-person team that has known each other for four years of university hazards and happiness.  Culminating their knowledge in September 2016 they proceeded to pour many long hours and pop fueled evening to creating Joustaposition for unveil at the Toronto LevelUp Festival in April 2017.

Dylan loved his time spent as the Lead Game Designer for Joustaposition.  His primary focus was to serve as the driving force for the creation, iteration, and development of Joustaposition`s mechanics to deliver the best possible game experience the team could deliver.  He also really like cats.

Technical Designer

Christian served on the technical team going through scripts, readjusting models, and integrating assets directly into Unity.

Technical Lead (Self-proclaimed Game Master Coder)

Mathew thoroughly enjoyed his time on the Joustaposition team as the Technical Lead.  He directed his attention and talents to developing and overseeing each of the primary mechanical systems driving Joustaposition.

MUSIC AND SOUND

The People Who Compose the Sounds of Madness

Ryan is the maestro behind the soundtrack of Joustaposition and the integration of Wwise.  We all still whistle the theme song of Joustaposition over and over again.  We blame Ryan for this.

We think our characters in Joustaposition might still be as boring as the playcubes that once stood in their place if it wasn't for the active and diligent work of Devin as the Lead of Narrative.  Joustaposition has a living breathing world that he curated and and tended to every step of the way.  He was responsible for the design and development of Joustaposition's varied dialogue.

ANDREW ROTH

When your entire game projects are maintained on a server you've never seen before, and when you realize you may of created a memory leak inside of your script, Andrew Roth is the mentor you want to have on your side to assist and guide in all your technical needs.

JUSTIN HOWE

Mentor

Having served his time in AAA and indie game development Justin Howe stood as a confident and regular source of information and support the team was able to rely on for when they found themselves in need of some direction.

Jason Hawkreliak was the academic PhD who kept our team focused on asking the right questions to keep the experience of Joustaposition focused and meaningful.  If you want to make him really happy; make sure you play and achieve glorious victory as the rocket ostrich.
